Anthony Anderson
Embryologist Biography

As Embryology Laboratory Director for PREG, Anderson directs IVF laboratory operations which include oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, cryopreservation of embryos and oocytes, assisted hatching, intracytoplasmic sperm injection and pre-implantation genetic screening/diagnosis of embryos. Anderson is also the on-site laboratory director for REACH in Charlotte, North Carolina. Anthony embarked in the field of reproductive biology performing nuclear transfer and embryo transfer in the bovine industry. Later taking his experience to human IVF as the Senior Embryologist with IVF America in New Jersey and then to Charlotte in 1994.
 
He is a Certified Embryology Laboratory Director (ABB) who has lectured and presented at conferences nation-wide, published papers on embryonic development and cryopreservation, and received several honors and distinctions. Anderson’s education includes a Master of Science degree in Clinical Embryology from Leeds University in England and a Bachelor of Science degree in biotechnology from Oklahoma State University.
 
In addition to directing a busy IVF program, Anderson also conducts research in embryo metabolism, pre-implantation genetic screening, and non-invasive measures of embryo viability.
 
Anthony is happily married and is the father of 2 boys and 1 girl.
