Carolyn Keating is a registered nurse clinician who joined PREG in the Fall of 2009. She has a vast experience in the field infertility. We are very excited to have her on the PREG team! She graduated from University of Maryland with a BSN in 1975. She received certification as Women’s Health Nurse practitioner from University of Texas and the US Army Nurse Corps in 1977. Carolyn was nationally credentialed as a Women’s Health NP since 1983. She became involved in reproductive endocrine nursing in 1982, first with Southeaster Fertility in Charleston SC, then at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston and ultimately at Central Georgia Fertility in Macon Georgia. For the last 5 years she has been teaching nursing at the community college level and working in staff education for Piedmont Healthcare System in Jasper Georgia. Her professional accomplishments: part of the National Certification Corporation (NCC) team to develop a national certification test for reproductive endocrine nurses, numerous guest lectures on fertility/adoption issues. Personal- married with 5 children (2 biologic and 3 adopted). Professional fantasy- to be able to answer Alex Trebek’s question about what I do for a living ( as I walk off the BIG Jeopardy winner) with “My co-workers and I facilitate miracles for a top notch fertility clinic in upstate South Carolina and North Carolina.” She says "Even without the money, I still view myself as a big winner." |
